Mahanoy Township Police Officer Elliott Burlett filed charges on Scott Sajda for leading the Township Police on a 3 mile high speed chase.
The chase began after the defendant almost collided with the police car and ended with the defendant hitting a park car and fleeing on foot.
Officer Burlett charged Sajda with Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Reckless Driving, Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed, Careless Driving, Stop Signs and Yield Signs, Trespass By Motor Vehicle, Turning Movements and Required Signals. The defendant was also taken to Schuylkill Medical Center South for DUI testing.
