According to Police Chief Mark O'Hearn, the man was struck around 7:00pm while crossing Centre Street at 19th Street near the Good Fellowship Club.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died. The victim's name has not been released yet.
One person is custody for questioning and testing.
Centre Street was closed from 17th to 20th for several hours while officials investigated the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
