Two people were injured in a head on crash near Shenandoah on Saturday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around noon, Saturday in on East Centre Street, Route 54.
Police say Joseph Elliss, 55, of Mahanoy City was travelling eastbound on Route 54 travelling uphill and Victor Portes Liriano, 52, of Shenandoah was travelling westbound downhill on Route 54.
Police say Elliss slid on the snow covered road and travelled into the path of Lirano.
Liriano was reported to have suffered serious injuries in the crash and Elliss suffered injuries but it is not known how serious.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital by Shenandoah Ambulances crews.
Also assisting at the scene were the Rescue Hook & Ladder from Shenandoah, Shenandoah Ambulance #1 and #2.
Steve's towing also assisted.
Route 54 was closed in the area while the crash was cleaned up.
