An early morning fire destroyed a barn in West Penn Township.
The fire was called in just after 3:00am, Thursday, when emergency personnel were dispatched to 3256 Summer Valley Road, West Penn Township.
Firefighters arrived and advised of a working fire after finding the structure fully invovled.
A tanker task force was requested.
Firefighters found the fire defensively with it eventually collapsing into rubble.
Firefighters remained on scene for several hours and a State Police Fire Marshal was on scene by daybreak.
No word yet on what caused the fire.
