Edward C. Hill, 54, Orwigsburg is scheduled to be arraigned today for charges of criminal attempt to comitt criminal homicide, aggravated assault on police, terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, and aggravated assault of a deadly weapon.He is expected to plead not guilty.
Hill started a search off Route 895 on August 29th, when he and Edward Welty got into an argument causing state troopers to be dispatched to their location in West Brunswick Twp.
When troopers arrived, Hill reportedly pointed a rifle at a responding trooper, then fled toward New Ringgold.
He was taken into custody a few hours later.
