Fired Mahanoy Area Teacher Denied Jobless Aid

In an article posted by Pennlive.com, John Kozura, a science teacher who was fired from Mahanoy Area School District for disobeying orders not to teach physics to seventh graders is not eligible for unemployment compensation, a Commonwealth Court has ruled.


Per the article, Kozura's was fired from his job in 2012 after being repeatedly suspended and given chances to change his ways.
