According to Pennlive.com, an accident involving a tanker truck and PennDot equipment closed Interstate 81 Southbound at Mile Marker 100 (Pine Grove) and also northbound at Exit 90 Thursday Afternoon.
According to the article, a tanker truck ran into the back of PennDot mounted impact attenuator that was setup at a bridge cleaning operation at milemarker 93. The tanker was reported to have been traveling at approximately 65 mph.
One PennDot worker was reported to be injured but the injuries were non-life threatening.
The Interstate reopened just after 4pm Thursday.
