Mahanoy Township and Mahanoy City Police Seize Heroin, Baths Salts, and Marijuana from 4 Individuals During Traffic Stop
According to the Mahanoy Twp. Facebook page, on May 23rd, the Mahanoy Twp. and Mahanoy City Police Departments worked together to send 4 individuals to jail on various drug related charges.
For the second time in a week, the departments worked together to get drugs off the street.
In total 52 bags of heroin were seized, 14 bags of bath salts, marijuana, and several items of drug paraphernalia and thousands of dollars of possible drug money stemming from a traffic stop conducted by Officer Rentschler in Mahanoy Township.
All four were arraigned by on-call duty Magistrate Ferrier and committed to Schuylkill County prison on $10,000 straight bail. Officers from both departments worked through the night conducting narcotics investigations in the township and borough. More charges are expected to be filed later in the week

Daniel Bynon III of 224 E Pine Street Mahanoy City, possession with intent to deliver (bath salts), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (bath salts), possession of drug paraphernalia
Timothy Mckerns of 103 E Pine Street Mahanoy City, possession with intent to deliver (bath salts), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (bath salts), possession of drug paraphernalia
