According to multiple reports, Captain Jason B. Jones, 29, of Orwigsburg died in Jalalabad, Afghanistan on Monday from "wounds received from small arms".
Jones was a member of the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
He was in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
His death is under investigation.
