Just before 5am, emergency personnel were called to 32 S. Maple Ave. in Cass Twp for a house fire with entrapment.
When crews arrived, the entrapment was confirmed.
Officials have confirmed that one person was killed in the fire. UPDATE: The person that died has been identified as 65 year old Richard Dermo.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
