Phoenix (renamed Thor) is missing. We are not 100% confident that he ran away as reported by his adopter. We called to check in on our boy (who we had been in contact with on and off for the past year since his adoption) and it took several days for a response. The adopter unfriended several of our staff and she claims that she didn't want us to "be mad" when she posted she lost him (3 weeks ago). When asked if she reported him missing to police or local shelter, she said she did not. We are desperately searching for Phoenix. A trip to the Danville SPCA did not turn up this dog, just one that could have been his twin. He is a large male/neutered pit bull mix. He is super friendly and loves people. He could be anywhere by now. Please share in the hopes that someone can give us a lead to where Phoenix may be. We dont know if he was given away, run over, or is deceased. We need to know because it hurts our hearts to think one of our loved buddies is out there somewhere, with no owner doing anything to locate him. Please share!!
