Police Investigating Death of Man Shot with Stun Gun Outside Gas Station in Tamaqua

Police tape could be seen wrapped around a portion of the J & J Sunoco Gas Station (20 Center Street) on SR309 in Tamaqua for most of the morning today (Friday, August 8, 2014) as officers with Pennsylvania’s State Police investigated the death of a man shot with a stun gun.
Although not confirmed, a station employee and a nearby neighbor (who both wished to remain unnamed) told TamaquaArea.com that police used a stun gun to subdue the unidentified victim, who was observed punching a store sign and telephone pole. They added that the incident occurred very early this morning.
The information listed here is not confirmed and no official information was released as of 3:20 PM today.
