Mr. Bernard S. Kupetz , age 81,of 222 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale,
A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C of Tamaqua, Bernard was a graduate of St. Jerome High School.
Bernard served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. He maintained membership in the Tamaqua American Legion, and Coaldale V.F.W. posts.
A self employed Landscaper, Bernard was also a member of the West Penn Gun Club.
Born in Mary-D, the son of the late Michael Kupetz and Mary (Shapella) Kupetz.
Survived by;
Son: Bernard S. Kupetz, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Tamaqua,
Brother: Edward Kupetz of Brockton;
Three Grandchildren, Stephen, Sophia, and Erin.
Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emalee E. Kupetz in 2010; sisters, Mrs. Catherine Kohlmeir, Mrs. Barbara Rarick, Mrs. Mary Zahora, Mrs. Dorothy Martinez, and Mrs. Margaret Weiner; brothers, Michael, Paul, Joe, William, John, and George Kupetz.
Arrangements are entrusted to E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11 o'clock AM, Saturday, August 16, 2014.
A Gathering of friends will take place from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be bestowed at the funeral home following the service.
Interment at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania.
