Three vehicles were involved in an accident around 6 PM Thursday, September 18, 2014 along Pine Street (SR309) near the intersection of East Union Street in Tamaqua.
Responding were Tamaqua Police, Tamaqua Ambulance, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, American Hose Company, East End Fire Company and others.
Vehicles involved were a green Chevrolet Cavalier (with major damage to the front), Jeep Liberty (with damage to the passenger’s front side), and a blue sedan (with damage to its drivers side).
The driver of the Chevrolet, who was bleeding from the head after hitting his windshield, refused treatment and transportation to the hospital. It is unknown if the occupants of the other vehicles suffered serious injury or received medical treatment.
Tamaqua Fire Police detoured traffic through the borough during the response.
Removing the vehicles were Ziegler’s Towing and Krajcirik’s Automotive.
