Where is the Tamaqua Area Weatherman?

Schuylkill County's Weatherman, Tamaqua Area Weatherman hasn't been seen on Facebook for months.  Where did he go?  Skook News has the exclusive look into where his whereabouts are.
Finding a reliable and trustworthy weatherman is hard to find.  Luckily for Schuylkill County, we had our own, and that was "The Tamaqua Area Weatherman".

Years ago, he popped up on the internet giving us accurate snowfall forecasts for the Tamaqua Area and eventually expanded to Schuylkill County, the surrounding areas, and most of eastern Pennsylvania.

He is only an weather enthusiast, with no formal training, who does it as a hobby, but does it better than most meteorologists we see on television.  Back in the winter months, Skook News ran a poll via our Facebook page and asked "Where do you get your weather forecasts?".  He won in a landslide up against WNEP, WBRE, and even the Weather Channel.

But in June of 2014, Tamaqua Area Weatherman deleted his page off Facebook.

Now three months later and the Winter months are upon us, where can we find him these days to get an accurate weather forecast and snowfall predictions?

Skook News got in touch with Ryan Fannock, the Tamaqua Area Weatherman, and found him still in Tamaqua and still forecasting the weather.

Instead of running a Facebook Page, he is now the admin of two groups on Facebook

When asked why he deleted his page and why he chose to go with a Facebook group, he had this to say,

"With over 12,000 likes on my page, it was definitely a tough decision to shut it down. However, only about 10% of the fans were able to see my posts. Facebook wants you to "pay to promote" all of your information. If you don't pay, only a limited audience could see each post. So I decided to create private groups. In a group, you WILL see every post show up on your wall. Plus, we have some great discussions in the groups. Anyone can post questions, observations, pictures, etc.

I wish I would of chosen the group setting from the very beginning. I enjoy discussing weather with everybody. Hopefully people who weren't aware of the new groups have a chance to see this article. Since it's now September, I'm posting all updates in the Fall-Winter Weather Discussion Group. Hope to see you all there!"
