Yuengling’s Ice Cream, recently reintroduced after a nearly 30-year hiatus, is continuing its quest to give back. With the school year freshly upon us, Yuengling’s is providing a new way to raise money – an ice cream fundraiser!
“Throughout the summer, we sampled our ice cream at all sorts of events across the region,” said David Yuengling, president of Yuengling’s Ice Cream. “It was such a success that we realized it could be a fun and easy way for schools, clubs and athletic organizations to raise money.”
The process is simple. Yuengling’s will provide the groups a free Fundraising Kit including all items necessary to have an ice cream sale for approximately 200 people – cups, spoons, scoopers, a banner and coupons to pick up quarts of the ice cream from a local grocer at no cost. The organization must then choose the event, choose the flavors, set a price and sell away. At $1.50 per scoop, each kit could raise about $300!
Yuengling’s Ice Cream may even double the profits, to boot. It encourages each organization to take pictures of the event and send them in. For each picture sent in (up to five pictures), the organization will be entered into a drawing for a chance to have the funds matched by Yuengling’s.
