PennDot announced Friday that the Route 309 bridge project over Lizard Creek in West Penn Township is completed.
The project included the replacement of the structurally deficient concrete
T-beam Bridge with a new two-span concrete bulb T-beam bridge.
During construction, PA 309 traffic lanes were shifted. There were no
long-term
lane restrictions for this project.
Deblin, Inc. of Mechanicsburg, Pa. is the general contractor on the
$2,739,668
project.
The PA 309 Bridge was a two span concrete T-beam bridge that was
constructed in
1930. It was 119 feet long, 20 feet wide. The new PA 309 Bridge is 140
feet
long, 55 feet wide, two span concrete bulb T-beam bridge.
