OSHA Proposes Fine Against Amusement Park

According to multiple sources, OSHA has proposed a fine against Dorney Park after federal regulators say it failed to protect summertime workers from extreme heat.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing a $7,000 fine for failure to protect outdoor and concession stand workers from sunlight and other heat sources.

One teenager worker was reportedly burned and later collapsed near a deep fryer.

An additional $2,000 fine is being proposed for a record keeping violation.

The park has 15 business days from the receipt of its citations and penalties to respond to OSHA.
