TRAFFIC ALERT: Backup on Route 309/Blue Mountain

We are getting reports from drivers that there is a backup of traffic on the Blue Mountain on Route 309 south of Tamaqua.
As of 11:30am, the road is closed.

TamaquaArea.com is reporting the backup is due to a stuck wide load tractor trailer.

Avoid the area if possible

UPDATE:  12:45pm - Traffic is said to be moving, but slowly.
