“We love connecting with our fans, and what better way to do that than to take our truck on the road,” said David Yuengling, president of Yuengling’s Ice Cream. “Our Scoop Squad will be at a variety of events, from concerts and festivals to runs and charity fundraisers.”
The company will kick off the tour close to home on April 4 at the Schaeffer’s Harley Davidson Easter Egg Hunt in Orwigsburg, PA, followed by a free cone day outside of the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville on April 10.
Other events include the Super Scooper Ice Cream Festival in Philadelphia, Turf Valley Preakness Hot Air Balloon Festival in MD and the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl in Boston. The company’s stops will include Pittsburgh, New York and North Carolina. A complete list of events can be found on the company’s website.
In addition to the tour, Yuengling’s Ice Cream will also kick of its Lovin’ Spoonful Customer Loyalty Program. Fans of the brand can join the mailing list via the website to learn about sales and upcoming events. Upon signing up, each member will receive a free I Yuengling’s Ice Cream car magnet. If a member of the Scoop Squad sees the magnet on a car, that fan gets free Yuengling’s Ice Cream swag.
The company will take a mixture of its 14 standard flavors on tour, including three of its new flavors – Original Sea Salt Caramel Swirl, Caramel Popcorn and Orange Cream – and perennial favorite, Black & Tan. The flavor selection will vary by event.
Started in 1920, Yuengling’s Ice Cream was on the shelves for 65 years and was reintroduced by its founder’s great grandson in early 2014. The ice cream is currently available in 23 states and Washington, D.C.
