According to WBRE and WNEP, Daniel Sleva, 24, of Mahanoy City, died when his vehicle crossed into the southbound traffic of Interstate 81 hitting another vehicle between the Hazleton exit and the Interstate 80 junction. Sleva was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt.
The occupants of the other vehicle, a mother and son from New York, died in the crash as well. The father survived.
