According to WNEP, the State Police have identified the victim as Charles Smith, 69, of Pottsville.
Just after noon Thursday, Emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Tremont Road and Camp Road in Tremont Twp.
Initial calls came in as a motor vehicle accident with entrapment and fire.
WNEP is also reporting that Smith's vehicle struck trees and embankment and caught fire.
