This isn’t the first time the company has donated quarts of ice cream as collectors’ items. During its relaunch, Yuengling’s Ice Cream offered the first case of each flavor to 10 charities to auction.
“Knowing that many of our fans collect vintage Yuengling’s Ice Cream memorabilia, we think auctioning off our ‘collectable’ items is a great way to help the charities we support,” said David Yuengling, president of Yuengling’s Ice Cream. “The feedback we received from the charities that benefitted last year was overwhelmingly positive and we know that our fans will support the Children’s Cancer Recovery Fund in the same way.”
The one millionth quart of ice cream – one of the company’s 2015 flavors, Sea Salt Caramel Swirl – was produced in March of this year. Along with the collectable quart, the winner will receive a letter of authenticity signed by Yuengling himself and a gift basket complete with a Yuengling’s Ice Cream sweatshirt, hat, ceramic bowl, scooper and coupons for four free quarts of ice cream.
