Around 7:30pm, Sunday, emergency personnel were called to 204 St. Johns Street in Schuylkill Haven for a 2nd working structure fire.
A family of five reportedly lived in the home and escaped unharmed. The home was too heavily damaged for the family to live in the home and is being helped by the Red Cross.
Paramedics from Schuylkill EMS also administered oxygen to the family's dog and cat and were transported to Valley Central Veterinary Hospital for treatment.
A fire marshal is expected to investigate a cause of the fire.
Emergency personnel were called from around Schuylkill County assist in fighting the blaze for RIT and tanker support.
