A Shenandoah man is facing assault charges after a reported domestic dispute.
On Friday, August 7th, Shenandoah Police were called to 300 West Cherry Street for a reported domestic dispute with a male holding a knife to a females neck.
According to Shenandoah Police, they arrived and spoke with Mahala McLeod, 46, who stated she was having an argument with Joseph Valentine, 50, while they were in the kitchen of the residence.
McLeod stated Valentine was washing the dishes while they were arguing. Valentine then pulled a knife out of the sink and placed it at McLeods throat and threatened to kill her. McLeod then ran to the front room and called the police.
Valentine was charged with Aggravated assault, Simple assault, Recklessly endangering another person, Terroristic threats and harassment.
He was arraigned and released on $25,000.00 unsecured bail.
