Pottsville, Pa. (November, 17 2015) – Two McCann School of Business & Technology recent graduates have passed their programmatic National Healthcareer Association (NHA) accreditation exams. These exams validate the skill sets learned in each individual program and are often needed or preferred by employers.
Audrey Seifert (Pine Grove), graduate of the Medical Billing and Coding program, passed the Certified Medical Billing and Coding Exam.
Jennifer Ogden (Minersville), graduate of the Medical Assisting Degree program, passed the Clinical Medical Assistant Certification Exam.
McCann encourages all allied health students to take their programmatic certification exams. These exams give students a competitive edge in the workforce since many employers either require or prefer candidates to be certified.
The 2015 exam results met the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) requirements, allowing McCann to maintain it’s programmatic accreditation and uphold its existing certified programs.
NHA has been offering The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) nationally accredited certifications to Allied Health professionals since 1989.
