According to the Daily Item, the Northumberland County Coroner has identified the victim as Walter Bogus, 85, of Coal Township, Northumberland.
Bogus was struck by a vehicle Friday evening while crossing Centre Street in Ashland near 19th Street. He was later pronounced dead at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Hospital.
The incident is still under investigation.
