Just after 3:30am, Thursday morning, emergency personnel were called to 116 Centre Street, Tamaqua for a working structure fire.
The fire was reported to be under control within the hour of the original call but crews remained on scene for a few hours.
Homes located at 116 and 114 Centre Street sustained the most damage while the homes at 118 and 120 sustained damage as well.
Route 309 was closed while crews were on scene.
No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was called to help the victims.
