Annual Event Encourages Green Commuting Options

York, Pa. (April xx, 2016) – Commuter Services of Pennsylvania is challenging commuters to give up driving alone to work and try a green commute mode during its annual Earth Day challenge, April 17-23, 2016.
During the week-long event, Commuter Services encourages commuters to try transit, carpooling, vanpooling, biking, walking or even telecommuting to work, and then log their miles traveled on the Commuter Services website. Last year, 340 commuters participated in the Earth Day challenge, logging more than 65,000 combined miles during the challenge.

One commuter from each county in Commuter Service’s 13-county service area will receive a prize. One randomly-selected grand prize winner will receive a Kindle Fire.

To participate, commuters can log their commuting details from April 17 through April 29 at www.pacommuterservices.org/earthday2016/.
