Group Looking to Keep Ashland Fireworks Tradition Alive

Earlier this year it was announced that Ashland borough would no longer have their annual fireworks display "Thunder Over Ashland".  But some individuals from the borough have come together to keep the tradition alive.


The group has created a Facebook page, "Save the Ashland Fireworks", and through the page has gathered more support from other individuals in the borough.

After getting the borough's blessing, the group has been given the go ahead to proceed with planning a brand new fireworks event.  While no date has been scheduled yet for the event, the group is looking for an organization from the borough to help sponsor the event.  The group has already agreed to help with fundraising, they just need an organization to drive the event.
