Students in these programs are eligible to apply for funds through the Morgan Foundation Scholarship. The John E. Morgan Foundation provides scholarships to students from Schuylkill County who enter career pathway courses that lead to credentials that prepare them for gainful employment. Unique to these scholarships is that they support students in noncredit and short-term programs, in addition to traditional credit degree programs. The programs and courses available through the scholarship were chosen to address the business needs in Schuylkill County and help fill current employment gaps in the areas of manufacturing, healthcare, business and the transportation industry.
The following information sessions are scheduled.
Funding is available for selected training programs for residents of Schuylkill County who are unemployed or underemployed. Qualified individuals will receive funding for 90 to 100% of tuition shown. A limited number of scholarships are available. Credit programs of study eligible for assistance include business management, entrepreneurship and small business. Noncredit programs eligible for scholarship funds are in Microsoft Office, phlebotomy, manufacturing technician, certified nursing aide and CDL.
