State Police Seized Over $19 Million in Prohibited Drugs in the First Quarter of 2016

Pennsylvania State Police announced on Friday that troopers seized over $19 million in heroin, marijuana and other prohibited drugs in the first quarter of 2016.

In the first quarter of 2016, troopers seized over 109 pounds of cocaine and over 25 pounds of heroin with a combined approximate street value of $13.5 million. In addition, state police seized over 26 pounds of methamphetamines valued at over $1.1 million and over 1,100 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value over $4.1 million.

In 2015, the state police seized over $118 million in prohibited drugs.
