Lisa Robinson, Executive Director of The Walk In Art Center explained that students K – 4 were asked to draw their favorite part of Schuylkill Haven and students 5 – 12 could opt to draw or write an essay about their favorite. Students selected a variety of locations including Bubeck Park, The Walk In Art Center, churches, schools and businesses.
Robinson along with Ceil Michalik, Reba Llewellyn and Theresa Loneragan judged the students entries. “I enjoyed seeing the student’s interpretation of Schuylkill Haven,” said Robinson. “It was very difficult to select the winners because they were all wonderful.” Winning entries will be displayed at The Walk In Art Center throughout April and include:

Students who won and received Honorable Mentions were awarded with Walmart and Rita’s Gift Cards.
