If you are from Schuylkill County then you are very familiar with Yuengling and more than likely you have eaten your share of wings while watching a sporting event. This year the Schuylkill County Fair is proud to partner with G.D. Yuengling and Son to bring a new and exciting contest to the Schuylkill County Fair. None other than Yuengling Beer Wings Cooking Contest. Nick named Yueng wings the contest will be held on Monday, August 1 at 6PM in the PA Preferred aka fruit and vegetable building. Participants are encouraged to come early to ready themselves for the competition.
As a participants you asked to pre-register for this contest by filling out the “General Entry Form” found on the fair web site at www.schuylkill.com/exhibits/ and mail it to the address on the form. By doing this it secures your space for participation. Participant must be a resident of Schuylkill County and 21 years of age. Recipe must accompany the wings and a label from any Yuengling Beer. Exhibitor must bring the minimum of two dozen wings in an appliance that will keep the wings warm or cold. Wings will be served and presented to judges for judging. Participants are encouraged to distribute the balance of the wings to fairgoers. There are two classes for this contest. One contest for the average wing connoisseur and another one for the professional connoisseur representing a local bar or restaurant. First, second and third prizes will
be awarded by D.G. Yuengling & Son. Come and present you best wing recipe using a Yuengling beer and find out who the judges choose as the best wings to be found in Schuylkill County.
