The Pennsylvania Lottery welcomed Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores this week to its statewide retailer network. This fall, Lottery game sales will be introduced at more than 300 Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores across Pennsylvania, 9 locations within Schuylkill County.
“Our presence in these Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores makes it more convenient for Lottery players to play their favorite games,” said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko, noting that game sales are launching in approximately 40 stores this week.
Participating stores offer self-service instant and draw game sales through the Lottery’s familiar green and yellow Play Central Terminals. A number of locations will feature the Lottery’s new, state-of-the-art, touch-screen terminals. Games are not sold at cash registers, but players may redeem vouchers at a store’s office area.
Svitko noted that the Lottery’s growing network of more than 9,000 retailers contributed to setting a new game sales record of $4.13 billion during the 2015-16 fiscal year. Those sales generated a record of more than $1.12 billion in net revenue to benefit older Pennsylvanians.
“I want to thank the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for working with the Pennsylvania Lottery to make this business partnership possible,” Svitko said. “When state agencies work together, the citizens of Pennsylvania benefit.”
