According to Pennsylvania State Police, a 31 year old woman and her 4 year old child were held captive in a wooded area in West Mahanoy Township by Christopher Benjamin, 34.
Benjamin reportedly beat the woman and threatened the woman's life if she left the woods.
The woman reportedly managed to reach a road and get help from neighbors.
The woman is currently being treated for serious injuries.
Benjamin is wanted on aggravated assault charges.
A felony warrant is currently out for Benjamin. Anyone who encounters him is urged to use caution since he is presumed to be dangerous.
