Veronica (Laffin) Meserole, age 84, of Tamaqua, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr., Hometown.
She was the widow of James Meserole who died in 1989.
Veronica worked as a nurse at Fort Hamilton Veterans' Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
She was Catholic by faith.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on June 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Laffin.
She is survived by her

Lawrence J. Dubetsky, husband, father, and grandfather, 81 years of age of Valley Road, West Penn Twp., Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.
Survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Mary (Allison) Dubetsky; son, Anthony M. Domday and his wife Cindy of Locust Valley; daughter, Diane (Domday) Downey of Hazleton; grand children, Allison, Anna, Tony, Joseph, and Matthew; great grandchild, Madison; sister, Mrs. Marie Goudy
A 1953 graduate of West Hazleton High School, Larry served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.
A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in education, Larry retired from the former Atlas Powder Company of Reynolds after thirty-one years.
An avid outdoorsman, he was a member of the Little Acorn Club of West Penn Twp., and he spent many hours hunting for arrow heads.
Born Tuesday, July 23, 1935 in West Hazleton, the son of the late Andrew, and Allison (Spock) Dubetsky, he was also predeceased by sister, Mrs. Eleanor Hibala; brother, John Dubetsky.
