Northeast Pennsylvania Abstract, LLC, and Edge Abstract Independence have announced that the firms are merging effective October 1, 2016.
The new firm will be known as Northeast Edge Associates, LLC, and will become the largest title insurance agency based in Schuylkill County, handling real estate closings throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The various Edge companies, which include offices in Berks, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montgomery and Chester counties handle in excess of 2,500 real estate closings per year, in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The principals of the firm, David Wierzbicki, Gary Marchalk and Linda Marchalk each have over thirty years experience in the real estate and title insurance industries and each is a Pennsylvania licensed Title Insurance Agent.
David Wierzbicki first became involved in the title insurance business while working as a branch manager for Penn Title Insurance Company in Reading. He formed Edge Abstract in 2002 and has expanded Edge to include several offices in southeastern Pennsylvania. He is a 1985 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, having earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Communications.
Gary Marchalk, who is also an attorney, formed Northeast Pennsylvania Abstract, LLC, along with his wife, Linda Marchalk, in 2005. Marchalk is a cum laude graduate of the Widener University School of Law and a magna cum laude graduate of the New York Institute of Technology. Prior to becoming an attorney in 2005, he held various management positions in accounting, administration and consumer lending and was also associated with Allied Abstract Agency, based in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.
Linda Marchalk earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration as well as a Paralegal Certificate from Penn State University. Prior to the formation of Northeast Pennsylvania Abstract, LLC, she held positions as a paralegal and director of marketing.
