A woman was injured Tuesday in a crash on the Gordon Nagle Trail on Tuesday.
Just before noon, Tuesday, emergency personnel were called to a motor vehicle accident on the Gordon Nagle Trail, Route 901 for a motor vehicle accident near SPCA Road. The crash closed the road for approximately 2 1/2 Hours.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred when Dorothy Gordon, 49, of Auburn was traveling north on Route 901 and failed to negotiate a right curve. Gordon's vehicle traveled off the side of the road striking a guard rail with the front end flipping the vehicle over the guard rail.
The vehicle went over the embankment hitting multiple trees and rocks flipping onto its roof then back onto it's wheels. Police say the vehicle traveled approximately 125 feet down the embankment until it rested against a tree.
Gordon was reported to have suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Lehigh Valley East.
Pottsville Area Fire Companies and Schuylkill EMS assisted at the scene.
