Santa will be arriving at 300 N. Centre St at 11:30 AM by Firetruck after a ride through our neighborhoods.
His parade will begin at 11AM and will ride through Forest Hills and Mt. Carbon, out to Yorkville and up through Mt Hope, over to the East Side and Mechanicsville before returning to Centre St and ending at Something Sweet Candies where he will be available for pictures until 5 PM.
Bring your camera and take FREE pictures with Santa and give him your letter. His elves are also bringing along their secret Hot Chocolate and cookies to share with you while you’re shopping in town.
The Pottsville Business Association is sponsoring horse drawn trolley rides through the downtown from 9:30AM till 12:30PM, tickets will be sold at Something Sweet Candies 300 N Centre St or by calling 570-728-2960, PRE ORDERS ARE RECOMMENDED as seating is limited.

There will also be an Elf Scavenger Hunt this day also at numerous businesses in the City, locate the Elf and have your paper signed and turn in all completed forms to Something Sweet Candies for a drawing to be held at the end of the day, there will also be an adult raffle where adults can visit participating businesses, have their card stamped and turned in at Hidden Treasures 310 N Centre St or New Life Boutique 110 S Centre St for gift card prizes to local businesses.
A Progressive Dinner is also planned, a dining experience with local favorites beginning at 5pm, move from location to location (5 restaurants) to be amazed by local talent.

The Mayor’s Annual Santa Parade and Tree Lighting will take place in Garfield Square at 6PM followed by the Children’s Christmas Party at the Humane Fire Company. The Lodge at Sharp Mountain will be having “A Taste of Berks Jazz” concert at 7:30PM.
