Daniel J. Clark, Sr., 60, entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon at his home with his wife of 41 years Theresa J. (Dieter) and his family by his side.

Born May 5, 1956 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late John and Rita (Eagan) Clark.

He was 1975 Graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic and a current member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. He worked at TechCast Foundry, Myerstown.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by brothers John and Joseph Clark; sisters Germaine Schuettler and a baby sister Mary Ann.

He is survived by a son Daniel J. Clark, Jr., Pottsville; daughters Sherry A. Clark, Hershey and Melanie L. Clark, Pottsville; granddaughters Sienna Clark and Anika Holmes, both of Pottsville; brothers William Clark, Orwigsburg and Gerard Clark, Pottsville; sisters Maureen Adams, Pottsville, Patricia Helterbran, Pottsville, and Kathleen Reber, Minersville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Wednesday at Schiltzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market St. Pottsville. Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.

Mildred G. Hoffman passed away November 27, 2016 at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg. Long-time resident of Schuylkill Haven and Port Clinton, she was born in Gordon, PA on August 2, 1931 to Rev. Mildred Hoffman & Earl G. Hoffman. A seamstress by trade, she owned her own shop in Port Clinton, Miss Mildred's Custom Draperies, and continued sewing until the end. She was a beloved aunt and grandmother figure to many, loved children and was in charge of the church nursery at the Church of the Nazarene in Schuylkill Haven. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rev. Rose Hoffman & Marion Tolbard, and her brother, Earl Hoffman, Jr., Mimi, as she was affectionately called, is survived by main nieces & nephews, Angel Hoffman-Lorah, Sherry Haley, Patricia Berry, Maryann Sites, Penny Feveryear, Blair Tolbard, Jr., Brian Tolbard, Bradley Tolbard, Barrett Tolbard, and Steve Hoffman, as well as grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Her burial will be private for the family with a memorial service to be announced at a later date. ------------------------------------------------------

Palmer E. Kimmel, 75, former Ashland resident, passed away Saturday, November 26th, at the Broad Mountain Nursing Center, Frackville.

Born in Hegins Township, July 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Rufus and Laura Savage Kimmel. He attended Tri Valley High School, and served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a bridge construction expert.

Palmer was employed as an Exide battery builder for Northwest Industries, Hamburg, until his retirement.

He was a member of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland.

Preceding him in death were brothers, Daniel, Wilmer, and Melvin Kimmel, also sisters, Mary Kimmel and Carol Daily.

Daughter: Ruby wife of Joseph M. Coyle Sr., Girardville

Son: Paul E. Kimmel Sr. and his wife Beth, Mahanoy City

Sister: Marie Banach, Philadelphia

Brother: Chester Kimmel, Ohio

Brother: John Kimmel, Lavelle

Grand Daughter: Amanda Coyle, Girardville

Grand Sons: Joseph M. Colye Jr., Girardville, Joshua, Matthew, Troy, and Paul E. Kimmel Jr., all of Mahanoy City

God Son: Daniel Kimmel, Jim Thorpe

Nieces and Nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Wednesday, 11 AM, in the Christ’s United Lutheran Church, 437 Airport Road, Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Kim L. Lengert, pastor. Interment with military honors will follow in Citizen’s Cemetery, Lavelle. A viewing will be held in the church Wednesday morning, 9 AM until service.

James L. “Sparky” Fetterolf, 57, of Girardville, passed away unexpectedly Friday November 25, at his residence. Born on November 29, 1958 at the former Ashland State General Hospital, he was the son of the late James F. and Patsy Elders Fetterolf. Sparky was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, Class of 1977. He attended the Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon. Sparky was currently employed as a maintenance mechanic by Lowes Distribution Center, Pottsville, and also operated Fetterolf’s Home Maintenance, known for his electrical and plumbing skills. A passionate Steelers and Phillies fan, Sparky was quite involved with coaching his children in both girls softball and in the Ashland Area Little League, and was influential in organizing and establishing the official home of Ashland Girls Softball League at Willow Park, Ashland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in law, Richard C. Singmaster in 2009.

Rebecca Lynn Coutlee, 64, of Girardville,PA passed away Sunday, November 27th, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital,Norwegian St. Pottsville, PA.

Born in Chattanooga, Tenn. October 4,1952 the daughter of the late Lester and Esther Gurley. She attended schools in Jacksonville, Fl. and worked as a registered nurse for many years. Surviving are her husband Rev. Larry Coutlee, Girardville and a son Joshua Coutlee of Ashland. Two granddaughters: Raven and Juno survive. A Memorial Service will be held at the Restoration Ministries Church, 525 W. Chestnut St.,Shamokin,PA, at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 2, 2016. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland is in charge of arrangements.

Susan “Susie” Berezwick, 56, Mahanoy Plane passed away peacefully Monday morning surrounded by her loving family after she lost her courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of Helen W. (English) Evans, Mahanoy Plane and her late husband Thomas L. Evans. She was employed as an assistant manager at the Penn State Hazleton Campus Bookstore.

She was of catholic faith and was a 1978 graduate of the former Cardinal Brennan Jr/Sr High School.

Susie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Matthew Berezwick, Mahanoy Plane; two sons: Keith and his wife Elizabeth Berezwick, New Ringgold and Kyle and his wife Megan Berezwick, Lake Hauto; Three sisters: Colleen and her husband Gary Petrewicz, Hummelstown, Joni and her husband Bobby Kitsock, Hummelstown, Janice and her husband Dave Kutchinsky of Frackville. Susie is also survived by a very special uncle, Bob McCann, Manville, NJ and numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Annunciation BVM Church in Frackville with Rev. Robert Finlan as the celebrant. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will be held in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.
