The Revive Community Fellowship will be offering hot chocolate and popcorn, and a broadcast from Times Square in New York City will help us ring in the new year. Broad St will be closed to traffic for everyone to enjoy the festivities.
“This event has become a great tradition in our downtown. Bring your kids, bring your neighbors. Everyone is welcome to gather together for the countdown to the new year,” Vanessa Gerhard, Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce Administrative Assistant.
This free community event began in 1998 to usher in Tamaqua’s bicentennial year. Frank Fabrizio of Brockton has provided the light and sound every year. The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce thanks the Tamaqua Borough, Tamaqua Police Department, Tamaqua Fire Police, and ABC Hi-Rise for their support and cooperation.
