Two Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) students enrolled in the School of Health Care Sciences each received a $500 scholarship from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Scholarship Fund. The fund was established in 2003 to support Associate in Applied Science students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
Recipients of the scholarships are Amanda Carnes of New Ringgold and Doreen Dia of Bethlehem.
The scholarship is available to senior OTA students entering their final semester of the program, which encompasses clinical field work, who are enrolled in a minimum of two OTA program courses at LCCC and have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate a commitment to the OT profession and community through community service and active participation in the student OTA club or professional occupational therapy organizations.
