Minor Injuries Suffered in Berks County Crash
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg, a Pottsville man suffered minor injuries in a crash in Berks County.
Police say two vehicles were driving west on Lutz Road (Old Route 22) in Greenwich Township, Berks County. When traffic slowed, a vehicle driven by John Keating, 73, of Pottsville was struck in the rear bumper by a vehicle driven by John Decker, 63, of Kutztown.
Decker's vehicle was reported to have sustained severe damage to the front end but did not suffer any injuries. Keating's vehicle sustained minor damage but reported minor pain but denied medical attention.
Both drivers were reported to be wearing their seatbelts.
Minor Injuries Suffered in Route 61 Crash on Thursday
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, a two vehicle crash occurred around 11:30am in the area of the Gasway, in New Castle Township, near St. Clair.
Police say the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Allen Gordon, 51, of Minersville was attempting to turn left into Gasway from the southbound lanes. Gordon was stopped in the left southbound lane when another vehicle, driven by Helen Dana, 58, of Ringtown was also travelling in the left southbound lane and failed to see Gordon stopped and rear ended his vehicle.
Dana reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Both drivers are to be cited.
The St. Clair Fire Department and Pottsville EMS assisted at the scene along with Womers Towing.
