Jim Thorpe Police Looking for Man Wanted for Rape

The Jim Thorpe Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man that is wanted for rape.

The suspect is identified as Jared " Chubby" Weiss,  a white male, approximately 5'7" weight 170lbs.

He has felony warrants for Criminal Attempt, Rape of a Child, Rape by Force, Rape by Threat, multiple counts of Indecent Assault and others.

Police say Weiss is possibly in the Lansford area, as well as Jim Thorpe.

UPDATE: Weiss turned himself in to Jim Thorpe Police overnight.
