According to the Pottsville Police, they were made aware of counterfeit currency being used at businesses in the City of Pottsville as well as surrounding communities of Schuylkill County.
Twenty dollar bills with the serial number JB80647767E have been used at multiple locations.
Businesses are being advised to be extra vigilant in accepting cash of larger denominations and should contact law enforcement immediately if counterfeit currency is suspected
