She was born in 1949, in Coaldale Hospital. She Graduated from Panther Valley High School in 1967, and continued to reside in the area where she worked at various customer service jobs that she loved, and the customers loved her, until her retirement.
Mary loved spending time with friends and family, enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, going to the movies, and playing bingo. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was always easy to laugh. She loved cats, especially her biggest baby, Booger, who preceded her in death in 2009, and she missed him so much.
She was Catholic by faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola C. Gallagher, and father, John W. Gallagher.
She is survived by her children,
Anthony M. Sword, Michael J. Sword and his wife Michelle, Justine E. Sword, and Jonathan R. Sword.
She is also survived by her sister, Grace Gallagher-Kondertavage, and her family. She was the grandmother of six, Grace, Alison, Chance, Jessica, Shane, and Roy. She will be missed by all.
