Ronald B. Statue, 63, of Black Heath, passed away Sunday at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, November 2, 1953, son of the late Wassel and Kathryn (Weiner) Statue.

Ron was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville.

He was a graduate of Minersville High School. He retired in 2008 from Honeywell International, Marlin.

Ron enjoyed fishing and golfing, and he was also an avid Kansas City Chief and Phillies fan.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Austerberry wife of William, Black Heath; nephew, Matthew Austerberry; several cousins.

A Requiem Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church 415 N Front St, Minersville, with the Rev. Mark Fesniak officiating. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. till time of the Requiem Divine Liturgy at the church. Mr. Victor J. "Vic" D'Ambrosio, age 93, of Willow Grove, died Sunday afternoon at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health in Abington. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Camillo and Victoria (Dirocco) D'Ambrosio. He was a graduate of Girard College and served with the United States Army during World War II. He had been employed by the US Navy Yard, was a Philadelphia City Police Officer from 1950-1974 and last worked in security for Federal Postal Service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a member of the former St. Lucy's RC Church in Manayunk. He enjoyed fishing and jogging and socializing with his friends and drinking coffee and 2 jelly donuts at Cafe' Roma in Philadelphia.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife the former Rose Marie DiCasimirro, and a brother Daniel D'Ambrosio. Survivors include a daughter Susan Brown Gilmore with whom he resided, a son Stephen D'Ambrosio and his wife Eloisa of Etowah NC, 3 grandchildren Thomas and Britton Brown and James Kelly, a great granddaughter Eleanora Brown, and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Saturday morning at 10 AM from Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. Interment with Military and Philadelphia City Police Department honors will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning beginning at 9 AM.
