Gloria Stine, age 86, of Sacramento, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Thursday, April 24, 1930, in Barry Twp, a daughter of the late Henry Carl and the late Katie Facer Carl.
She had worked at the former Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Weishample.
Gloria enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
Her husband James W Stine, Sr, passed away in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by four brothers, Edward Carl, Lewis Carl, Percy Carl, and Thomas Carl; and by five sisters, Tillie Sankus, Verna Lucas, Betty Morgan, Beatrice Kukuk, and Mary Klinger.
She is survived by three sons, Roger J Stine and his wife Christina of Hegins, Terry Stine and his wife Deborah of Gordon, and James W Stine, Jr of Sacramento; a daughter, Gloria Maurer and her companion Stanley Wise of Hegins; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in Citizens Cemetery of, Lavelle.

Paul R. Whelski, Sr., 77, of Tower City, passed away Friday at his home.
Born in Pottsville, September 11, 1939, a son of the late Paul and Catherine Leonard Whelski.
Paul was a graduate of Pottsville High School. He was retired from Local 1180, plumber and steamfitters, Harrisburg, where he previously worked on Three Mile Island.
Paul was an active member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Chapel, Tower City where he served as sexton for over fifty years. He was also a member of the Reinerton Fire Company and the Williamstown American Legion.
Paul's life revolved around his family and his church. He never missed any of his children or grandchildren's activities or events. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Joseph Whelski.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Carol Enders Whelski; four children, Cheryl Evans (Kevin) and Paul Whelski Jr. ( Ginny) both of Tower City; Tessa Stauffer (George), Williamstown and Missy Walker (Steven Wildman), Enola; 8 Grandchildren, two sisters; Cecelia Whelski, Susie Killmer (Jerry) and a brother, John Whelski (Judy), all of Pottsville. Nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Februay 25th at 10:30 am from the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City with Rev. Jason Stokes as celebrant. Viewing will be from 9-10 am at the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in his memory to Sts.
