Leonard L. Blyler, Sr. 81, of Ashland, PA passed away Sunday, February 5th, 2017 at Vintage Knolls, Danville, PA.

Born in Hegins, PA August 29,1935 the son of the late Albert and Ida (Lucas) Blyler.
He attended Hegin's schools and was a member of Christ's United Lutheran Church, Ashland. He worked as a truck driver his whole working life, last working for Rick's Backhoe Service, Tremont, PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Jones) Blyler whom he married in 1957.
Also preceding him in death is a sister, Ruth Wetzel.

He is survived by three daughters and one son : Kathy Bixler of Hegins, PA; Sandra wife of Randy Hunter of Pine Grove, PA; Lenette wife of Jerry Nemitz, Layton, Utah; and Leonard Blyler Jr. husband of Jeanine, of Jonestown, PA. One sister: Ellen wife of Claude Knorr, Hegins, PA Seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Lindsey, Andy, Ryan, David, Kyle and Amanda. Six great grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held at Christ's United Lutheran Church, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11th, with Rev. Dr. Kim Lengert officiating.
Viewing Saturday 10:00-11:00 AM.at Christ's United Lutheran Church.
Interment in Kimmels Cemetery, Barry Twp., PA

Thomas R. Schofstal, 63, of Llewellyn, passed away on Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill – East Norwegian Street.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Robert and Rose Wedro Schofstal. He was a 1971 graduate of Minersville Area High School, and received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Lock Haven University. He taught Physical Education at the elementary school level for over 35 years before retiring.

Tom was a member of the East Ward Social Club, Schuylkill Haven, where he would spend time with his golfing buddies. He enjoyed spending Tuesday evenings with his “wolfpack” at the Greystone Restaurant.

He is survived by his wife, the former Terry Novitsky, to whom he was married for 37 years; his son, Ryne Schofstal and his wife, Adrienne Stone, Chicago; a sister, Carol Rada and her husband, Gregory, Lebanon; a nephew, Gregory Rada II; a niece, Lesley Boyd, two great nephews, Gregory Rada III and Tyler Boyd; two great nieces, Alexandra Rada and Aubrey Boyd; an aunt, Janet Dinko, Troy, New York.

Relatives and friends are invited to offer comfort and support to Tom’s family on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to the Knights of Columbus Council 431, 106 North Sixth Street, Pottsville, PA 17901 in support of their Thanksgiving Dinner Project.

Florence Frye, 94, of Brandonville, was born into eternity on Monday, February 6th, 2017.

Born in Shenandoah, on September 16, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Frances and Joseph Kalkis.

Florence operated a beauty shop out of her home in Brandonville until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Ringtown.

She loved playing cards and bingo and was a member of the Shenandoah Senior Citizens, the Ringtown Senior Citizens and the Sheppton-Oneida Senior Citizens.

She was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Ringtown.

The last member of her immediate family, Florence was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Bell, Frances Kargol, Betty Sverha, Josephine Kull, Margaret Highland and a brother Joseph Kalkis.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Ginger" Frye on August 28, 1999.

Many nieces and nephews survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary's Church, Ringtown, at 11 AM on Saturday, February 11th, 2017. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah, immediately following mass. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Florence's family from 10 AM until the time of the mass at the church on Saturday morning.
